A look at how three Ministers overspent.
• The Minister for Arts, sport and Tourism, Mr O'Donoghue, had an election spending limit of € 12,697.76 in his three-seat Kerry South constituency.
However, Mr O'Donoghue's election agent accounted for €41,540 ielection expenses.
Of this, €30,466 was met out of public funds. Mr O'Donoghue was minister for justice at the time.
• The election agent for the Minister for Education, Mr Dempsey, accounted for €39,152.65 in election spending, which was €20,107.12 above his spending limit in the five-seat Meath constituency.
In all, € 25,662.80 of the expenditure was met out of public funds. Mr Dempsey was minister for the environment and local government at the time.
• The Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Mr Eamon Ó Cuiv, had a spending limit of €19,046.14 in his five-seat Galway West constituency.
However, his election agent accounted for election expenses of €38,383.00. Of this, €22,305.00 was met out of public funds. Mr Ó Cuiv was a minister of state at the time of the election.
