A woman who embezzled more than £1,000 while working at a Dublin resource centre for the unemployed has been given the chance of community service. Mairead Cullinan (32), of Tonlagee Drive, Raheny, pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to forging three cheques and taking £1,031 between January and April last while working at the St Benedict's Resource Centre. Judge Desmond Hogan said because she had lost her job and pleaded guilty, he would give her the option of 120 hours' community service or six months' imprisonment. He adjourned the case until February 4th.
