Tord Grip, assistant to England manager Sven Goran Eriksson, stayed overnight in a London hospital for observation, a spokeswoman for the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital said today.
"I can confirm he spent the night in hospital," she said.
A report in today's Daily Mirrorsaid Grip, 63, had been taken to hospital after a heart scare but added his condition was not though to be serious.
It said Grip felt unwell as he was driving to the Football Association's offices in London's Soho Square yesterday.
