England's decision over whether to boycott their controversial World Cup fixture with Zimbabwe will be delayed until tomorrow.

England were expected to announce today whether they would play the Pool A tie or not. The game is scheduled to take place in Harare on Thursday.

The delay illustrates the difficulty in which the England team have found themselves following Justice Albie Sachs' ruling last night against an appeal to switch the match to a South African venue on safety grounds.

Discussions at a team meeting, following talks with the tournament security directorate, went late into the night.

The players were informed of the security plans by experts following Judge Sachs' decision to uphold the denial for a location change.

England went for their official team photo this morning and were due to resume further dialogue with the Professional Cricketers' Association and the ECB this afternoon.

An England spokesman confirmed that a decision will not be announced until tomorrow morning - a time which was originally scheduled for the team's flight to Harare.
