An woman who absconded from an open prison in England where she was serving a life term of imprisonment for murder has been found in Dublin.
Clare McDermott appeared before the High Court today and was remanded in custody to appear before the court again on Tuesday.
She was convicted at Nottingham Crown Court on July 12th, 1995 of the murder of Ms Lisa Morris at Leicester on May 14th, 1994.
On April 14th last, she walked out of Askham Grange open prison in York and disappeared. She is currently being held in Mountjoy womens' prison.
