Recycled fashion will keep coming back:Ecofashion is more than a passing trend, according to Ecouterre, a website devoted to sustainable fashion design.

The ethos of the New York-based collective is to showcase and support designers who are conscious of the social and environmental impact of clothing. It ran a recycled denim challenge recently, in which designers (including Miranda Chance, whose bag is shown below) and DIY-ers alike cut everything from coasters to rugs, baby shoes, bikinis and handbags from recycled denim. Get to know how the EU enforces its laws here

A free public conference on how EU environmental law is enforced will be held in the faculty of law at University College Cork on November 26th from 2pm to 5.30pm. Legal experts will give recent examples of enforcement in Ireland and at the European Court of Justice. Speakers will include Dara Lynott, director of the Environmental Protection Agency’s office of environmental enforcement, and Karin Dubsky, the co-ordinator of Coastwatch.
