Aer Lingus and Ryanair have cancelled flights from Dublin and Cork to France on Tuesday due to a strike by French air traffic controllers (ATC).
Hundreds of Irish holidaymakers face delays and disruption during the 13th air traffic controllers (ATC) strike in 14 weeks.
Aer Lingus have cancelled four return flights to Perpignan, Nice, Bordeaux and Paris.
Five return Ryanair flights to Nantes, Biarritz, Carcassonne, Alicante and Bordeaux have also been cancelled.
A Ryanair spokesman said tthe company was forced to cancel 102 flights in total affecting more than 18,000 customers.
He said more than 100,000 people travelling across Europe would experience “severe” delays during the day.
Ryanair chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said it was unacceptable the strikes had become "weekly events".
"Which is why we are calling on the European Commission to take action to prevent these ATC strikes from disrupting the travel plans of Europe's citizens and their families," he said.
“The recent Brexit vote underlines that the EU Commission must begin to deliver real benefits for Europe’s consumers, and show families and holiday makers that Europe is on their side.”
The Airlines for Europe (A4E) lobby - representing the five leading carriers and their more than 500 million annual passengers - renewed calls for regulatory reform to prevent further, unchecked agitation last month.
