More than 2,000 people were left without power in Dublin on Wednesday night after a cable fault.
The network announced it had a large fault on Sallynoggin Road near Dalkey in south Dublin about 8pm.
Power was restored to the majority of customers about 10pm last night.

ESB apologised to customers for the outage and it's Twitter account's responses kept some people entertained.
Their advice included “Really sorry Matt the only known way to save melting icecream in a Power outage is to eat it. #Apologies again” and “We would suggest not engaging in any games in a darkened room #staysafe”.
