Tallinn - Finnish investigators yesterday rejected media reports that a bomb rather than a faulty bow door caused the ferry Estonia so sink in 1994 with the loss of 852 lives.
The Finnish members of the three-nation team that spent more than three years investigating the disaster said they stood by their 1997 findings.
Swedish media said in August that a report commissioned by the German shipyard Meyer Werft, which built the Estonia, would say video footage showed a bomb in the hull.
