Two small bombs exploded on Spanish highways south of Madrid this afternoon after a Basque newspaper received a warning call in the name of the Basque separatist group Eta.
There were no injuries and traffic on at least one of the two affected highways had resumed, a spokeswoman for the central government office in Ciudad Real said.
The blasts hit just as millions of Spaniards were flooding out of cities for the August holidays.
It was not immediately if the bomb were placed on the road.
