Budget airline EUjet has cancelled scheduled flights to Dublin and Belfast today as its parent company faces financial difficulties.
The airline operates routes from Manston in Kent to Dublin, Belfast and Shannon.
"Please be advised that today's flights to Dublin, Edinburgh, Newcastle & Belfast have been cancelled," a statement on EUjet's website says.
"EUjet apologise for the inconvenience caused and will contact passengers directly. Normal operations will resume shortly," it concludes.
Shares of its EUjet's parent company, PlaneStation, were suspended on the London stock market yesterday. The suspension came after PlaneStation's bankers said they were unable to support additional finance for EuJet, based at Kent International Airport at Manston.
Operating since September 2004, EuJet runs four Fokker 100 aircraft and flies to 18 destinations from Manston, including Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester and Malaga in southern Spain.
