Euro 2012 qualifiers:Former Birmingham and Chelsea striker Mikael Forssell helped himself to a hat-trick as Finland picked up their first points of their European Championship qualifying campaign in style with a convincing 8-0 win over fellow Group E strugglers San Marino.

Kasper Hamalainen (2), Mika Vayrynen, Jari Litmanen and substitute Roni Porokara also netted in a one-sided Group E clash — with seven of the goals coming in the space of 30 second-half minutes.

However, Olli Huttunen’s team remain outsiders to qualify for Euro 2012 — they are still three points behind fourth-placed Moldova.

Two goals from Tottenham midfielder Nico Kranjcar and another from Blackburn striker Nikola Kalinic moved Croatia to the top of Group F with a 3-0 victory over Malta.
