A building at Trinity College Dublin was evacuated today after a small fire broke out in a laboratory.
The college said the fire occurred in a fume cupboard in a laboratory on the second floor of the Crann building in the Naughton Institute at about 11.15am.
The building was immediately evacuated and the emergency services were alerted. The fire was extinguished by a member of TCD maintenance staff.
Dublin Fire Brigade crews left the premises about an hour later and people were allowed to re-enter the building, the college said.
