Bath - Former England international rugby player Jeremy Guscott was arrested by police after allegedly being found drunk and incapable, it has emerged.
Officers came across the 35-year-old one-time British Lions centre in Saw Close, in the centre of Bath, at 1.45 a.m. on Sunday.
Guscott still plays club rugby for Bath - he is in his testimonial season with the club - but is injured at present.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman would only confirm that a 35-year-old man had been detained and released without charge.
He said: "A 35-year-old man was arrested at 1.45 a.m. on September 17th for being drunk and incapable in Saw Close, Bath, and was later released without charge."
Last November, Guscott was cleared of assaulting antiques dealer Kenneth Jones during an argument in Bath.
