The former head of Radio Nova, Chris Carey, was sentenced to 15 months in prison at Chichester Crown Court yesterday on charges of escaping from prison and obtaining property by deception. Carey was serving four years for conspiracy to defraud at Ford open prison when he escaped last August and fled to Auckland, New Zealand in August last.
His new sentence will run concurrently with the four-year sentence.
Carey had been imprisoned for his part in a scheme selling pirate satellite decoders which cost BSkyB an estimated £32 million.
