More tickets have become available for October’s Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales because the current economic climate has affected corporate interest in the match.
Cup director Richard Hills said: “We have received this inventory back from our commercial and hospitality packages and are delighted to make them available to the general public.
“We see this as a positive opportunity for more fans to watch this year’s match. It has arisen because the Ryder Cup, like many sports events, is not immune to the economic downturn, although we remain open for hospitality sales and continue to take bookings.”
All non-transferable ground admission tickets are for daily entry. For Friday and Saturday they cost £100 (€118) daily and for Sunday’s concluding singles and closing ceremony the price is £130 (€153).
Practice day tickets are also available for £30 (€35) on the Tuesday and Wednesday and for £40 (€47) on Thursday September 30th, when the opening ceremony also takes place.
