An American man wanted in the United States over a fatal car crash which killed three students will face a High Court extradition hearing next month.

Frederick Russell (27), was remanded in custody until January 26th, when the matter will be heard by Mr Justice Michael Peart.

The High Court heard today that Mr Russell's defence team is awaiting two affidavits from the United States before the case can go ahead.

Mr Justice Peart told the court : "I am most anxious that everything would be in order for the 26th, but obviously fair procedures will apply, but every effort should be made to ensure everything should be in order for the 26th."
