Factory gate prices grew by 1.1 per cent in April 2004, according to data released by the Central Statistics Office today.
The figures, an indication of pipeline inflation, were significantly ahead of the 0.1 per cent increase recorded in April 2003.
The annual percentage change was down 4.1 per cent in April 2004, which compares to a decrease of 5.1 per cent in March 2004.
The export sales index increased 1.3 per cent, while the index for home sales increased by 0.5 per cent.
