A list of the property holdings and share portfolios held by TDs was revealed in the Register of Interests of Members of Dáil Éireann for 2007, published today by the Oireachtas.

Although most Cabinet members and TDs declared little or no interests outside of their main Oireachtas salaries, a small group revealed quite extensive property, land and share portfolios.

Topping the list of property holdings was former Fianna Fáil minister for state Frank Fahey, who declared full ownership or part-interest in properties in 29 apartments in Ireland, Europe and the US.

The Galway West TD also owns seven houses in Ireland and Dubai.
