Racing: Kieren Fallon will be free to ride at the Curragh's Budweiser Irish Derby meeting this weekend after his application to transfer part of a four-day ban was successful.
Fallon received the suspension for careless riding when landing the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot aboard Ad Valorem, and had been scheduled to be out of action from Saturday to next Tuesday.
However, Fallon is set to ride for Aidan O'Brien in the Audi Pretty Polly Stakes on Saturday and the Budweiser Irish Derby on Sunday, and was permitted to transfer part of his ban so as to ride at the weekend because of the Group One action.
He will now serve the four days between next Monday and Thursday (July 6th).
Jamie Spencer enjoyed similar success after applying to reschedule one day of a four-day ban picked up for careless riding aboard Red Evie at last week's Royal Ascot meeting.
He is now free to ride on Sunday, and like Fallon, will serve his four days between next Monday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, four horses have been supplemented for Sunday's showpiece. The addition of Cougar Bay, Dragon Dancer along with French and German Derby heroes Darsi and Gentlewave has left a list of 16 contenders engaged at the five-day stage.
O'Brien is responsible for five entries headed by Vodafone Derby third Dylan Thomas, who finished a head behind Dragon Dancer at Epsom.
He may be joined by stablemates Grafton Street, Mountain, Puerto Rico and Road To Mandalay, while Michael Stoute could be represented by Best Alibi and Royal Ascot winner Papal Bull.
The other possibles are Best Name, Classic Punch, Heliostatic, Land Before Time and Monsieur Henri.
