An environmental family fun day will be held in Dublin today to raise awareness of the dangers of climate change.
The Umbrella Action Day is organised by a number of eco-campaign groups and will take place at the Martello Tower on Sandymount Strand at 3pm.
Participants will get the chance to take part in a biodiversity survey on the beach, watch some balloon blowing and have their faces painted.
"Our Umbrella Action Day gives people the chance to show the new Dail that we want them to act," a spokesman for the event said.
