THE FAMILY of murdered Limerick businessman Roy Collins, will mark the first anniversary of his death this weekend, by unveiling a plaque in his memory.

The 35-year-old father of two was shot dead in the Coin Castle Arcade where he worked, in Roxboro Shopping Centre in Limerick on April 9th last year.

His anniversary will be marked at St John’s Cathedral this Sunday at noon, after which his family will unveil a plaque in the shopping centre.

His father, Steve Collins, said it was a “very difficult” time for his family. “It’s not an easy time, as it just brings it all up again. We just have to try and get through it as best we can but hopefully we can mark the day with the plaque,” he added.
