Dublin Fashion Festival

The Dublin Fashion festival continues with street fashion shows on the north and south side of the city. Tomorrow and Sunday between 12pm and 4pm there will be entertainment on South Anne Street featuring a giant Connect 4 game, an onsite dress-up box and a mini-catwalk. On Sunday, 'The Style of Dublin’ charity fashion show takes place at 37 Dawson Street from 7pm. It aims to raise money for Acquired Brain Injury charity and features a host of well known Irish faces.

Monaghan Rhythm and Blues festival

Now in its 21st year, the festival features three day of world renowned blues artists from the USA and Europe and Ireland. Events include a late night marquee showcasing top US acts performing from 10pm until late each night. The Market house will host acoustic acts through the weekend.

Glenties Harvest Fair

Glenties Harvest Fair in Donegal is one of the oldest festivals in Ireland, running for almost 300 years. This year’s festival is on from tomorrow to Tuesday. It features a kid’s fun day, clay pigeon shooting, tractor run, tug of war and live music throughout the town and much more. See www.glenties.ie for more information.

Mullagh Fair Day

The fair takes place in Mullagh, Co Cavan, on Sunday from 12pm until 7pm. Events include street entertainment, music, farmers market. The fair itself includes dog show, vintage cars and machinery, falconry, reptile displays, traditional farm yard, pig roasting in addition to buying and selling of cattle, pigs, sheep and poultry. There’s also a street entertainment competition with €1,000 to be won.

Hillbilly Tractor Run

The Hillbilly tractor run takes place in Blessington, Co Wickow, on Sunday. Nearly 400 tractors are taking part in the run and up to 2,000 people are expected to attend. Tractors, machinery and cars will assemble at Lacken in Wicklow between 8am and 11.30am and will travel towards Blessington where they will link up with a street parade there at 2pm.

Dingle Trad Fest

The Dingle Trad fest takes place in west Kerry and is Ireland’s newest trad fusion music festival. The festival will feature national and international artists showcasing modern and original talents at Dingle peninsula. The festival features a series of night time and lunch time concert, a session trail and some outdoor events including a session on top of Mount Brandon. The evening concerts will be held at the Hilgrove hotel in Dingle town.
