Goumois - A group of Swiss cavers who became stuck after a sudden surge in water levels had still not been contacted yesterday after 15 hours inside a cave, local authorities in Besancon said. The eight cavers, five men and three women aged between 20 and 30, entered the cave at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
A 130-strong rescue team has been pumping out water with six pumps and borrowed equipment from local army supplies.
