A siege at a British prison where a female prison officer was being held by a male prisoner in his cell was resolved this morning.
Specially trained negotiators intervened to end the situation, the British Prison Service said.
The incident started last night in the West Yorkshire prison - a jail for "lifers" which concentrates on serious sex offenders.
The Prison Service spokesman said the siege was resolved at 8.25 after trained prison service staff intervened.
