The handling of the proposed light rail system for Dublin will be debated by Fianna Fail during private members' time in the Dail next week.
The party's front bench has tabled a motion calling on the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, Mr Lowry, to explain why he announced the light rail lines for Dundrum and Tallaght on December 12th when a serious question mark was hanging over the lines.
Fianna Fail claims that the Department had agreed to a postponement pending further investigation on November 29th, according to the EU, Regional Affairs spokesman.
