Fine Gael has raised £300,000 from the sale of tickets from its draw, the party leader, Mr Michael Noonan TD, told members of Young Fine Gael at a conference last night.
Mr Noonan, who was addressing 120 members of the young branch of the party, said Fine Gael was more secure financially than it had been for a long time.
He re-affirmed his commitment to the ban on corporate donations, saying there was a perception that donations from business were influencing policy.
