Finance Ireland has sold its 40 per cent stake in Nua Homeloans Ltd to Investec Ireland.
The company said the sale of the mortgage lender's shares was at a par with the initial investment
Finance Ireland chief executive Billy Kane said Nua was a "very successful originator of mortgages in the Irish market.
"However, given the current uncertainties in the securitisation market, the directors believe it is not in the best interest of shareholders to provide an open ended commitment of future capital to this business," he added.
