The fire began at TBCS Ltd in Clondalkin shortly before midnight last night.

Garda forensic teams and fire investigators were scouring the scene to establish the cause of the fire.

Contractors have secured and boarded up the premises which is close to the Ibis hotel on the M50 roundabout.

Dublin Fire Brigade said up to 30 firefighters tackled the blaze and kept it contained to the compound.

The building was empty at the time and nobody was injured.

The showroom and around 20 vehicles were severely damaged in the fire, including top of the range saloons and 4x4s.

A Garda spokesman confirmed officers were investigating the blaze at the business premises. "It is too early to comment on the cause of the fire," he added.
