A large fire has caused extensive damage to a hotel in Portumna, Co Galway.
The emergency services were alerted to the fire at Shannon Oaks Hotel on St Joseph's Roadat about 1.15pm.
The hotel was evacuated and four units of Galway Fire Service tackled the blaze.
There are no reports of any injuries or the cause of the fire yet.
