Fire struck the offices of the Belfast Telegraphtoday and affected the production of the Northern Irish daily and several other newspapers.
More than 40 firefighters battled the flames after a stack of newspapers caught fire in the press room around 8.00 p.m, said Derek Carvell, the Belfast Telegraph's managing director. No one was injured.
"There's a lot of water damage to the presses at the moment," he said.
"The fire brigade is still trying to open windows to let smoke out. Until we get into the floors where the computer suites are we won't know exactly the extent of the situation," he added.
