A DIRECTOR of a company at the centre of a case in which developer Seán Dunne is alleged to have a vendetta against a businesswoman has told the High Court that the woman’s company was sometimes paid twice or three times more than it should have been paid for cleaning an apartment complex.
Thomas Martin, a director of Hollybrook (Brighton Road) Management Co Ltd, was giving evidence in the resumed hearing of an action by Hollybrook against Eugenia Pacelli, aka Gina Farrell, trading as Gina Farrell Cleaning Services.
Under cross-examination yesterday, Mr Martin agreed Ms Farrell’s company was sometimes paid two or three times for providing the same daily cleaning service for the common areas of the apartment complex.
Another company, called DCD Builders, had already paid for the service and there was no reason why Hollybrook should also have paid, Mr Martin said.
Hollybrook is suing the Farrell firm for €120,000 for alleged overcharging and double-charging for cleaning services at an apartment complex managed by Hollybrook at Brighton Road, Foxrock, Dublin, between 2003 and 2006.
Ms Farrell, Dangan Park, Kimmage Road West, Dublin, denies the claims. She also claims the action has been brought against her because of a vendetta Mr Dunne has against her.
