Manchester United will look to Roy Keane to inspire them in their Champions League semi-final return against Bayer Leverkusen.

Three years ago, Keane produced his greatest performance in a United shirt in Turin when he led the Reds to a famous victory.

United need another such display from the Republic of Ireland captain after drawing 2-2 with Leverkusen at Old Trafford and losing Gary Neville with a broken bone in his foot, which makes him doubtful for the World Cup.

Keane came on in the dying minutes last night to make his comeback after three weeks out with a torn hamstring.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "He will train tomorrow and Friday. He will then play on Saturday at Ipswich and on Tuesday in Leverkusen.

"At 2-2 you are hoping he does inspire something and that's why I brought him on. here were only 10 minutes to go and I think it was worth it".

Keane will be fully fit by Tuesday as United attempt to win on a ground where Liverpool, Juventus, Deportivo La Coruna and Barcelona have all been beaten this season.
