Gardai are investigating a "very menacing" attack on a 43-year-old woman at the Marrowbone Lane flats complex, Dublin, early on Monday.
About five masked men armed with baseball bats and a hatchet assaulted the woman who was outside her flat at the time. She was brought to the Meath Hospital where she was stated to be "comfortable".
I said they did not know the motive for the assault and their investigations were continuing.
