Pristina - NATO-led peacekeepers in Kosovo said yesterday they had detained five suspected members of an ethnic Albanian guerrilla group blamed for an upsurge in violence in Serbia last month.
Military police from the Kfor force detained the men on Wednesday after stopping a van outside the town of Gnjilane, located near the administrative Kosovo-Serbia boundary, the peacekeepers said in a statement. They were suspected of being guerrillas fighting for the Liberation Army of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac.
