A 31-year-old foreign national living in Dublin died when his car struck a pillar in Balrath, Navan, Co Meath, shortly after 8 a.m. yesterday morning.

He was named as Mr Jose Kiaku with an address at the North Circular Road, Dublin.

A 25-year-old-motorcyclist died after crashing into a car at Aclint, near Drogheda, Co Louth, at around noon on Saturday.

He was Mr John Carroll, of Rathbody, Ardee, Co Louth.

Shortly after 2.15 a.m. on Saturday, two men were killed in a two-car collision at Coolnahiley, Tullamore, Co Offaly.

They were Mr James Molyneaux (21) from Davitt Street, Tullamore, and Mr Oliver Byrne (26) from Moat, Co Westmeath.

On Friday night, a 12-year-old-girl who suffered serious head injuries in a traffic accident when she was knocked off her bike by a car on August 7th, died in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

She was Michaela Smith from Creighan, Co Cavan.
