Five Meath players have requested personal hearings with the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) after receiving suspensions for their part in the brawl in the opening minutes of their league game with Dublin last Sunday.
The numbers have been confirmed by a spokesman for GAA who refused to name those involved.
Eight Meath players received suspensions this week. Five of those - goalkeeper Brendan Murphy, defenders Niall McKeigue, Séamus Kenny and Shane McAnarney, and midfielder Nigel Crawford were banned for eight weeks.
The remainder - defenders Darren Fay and Caoimhin King, and forward Peadar Byrne - were suspended for four weeks.
Dublin players Bernard Brogan, Diarmuid Connolly (both banned for eight weeks), Tomás Quinn and Paddy Andrews (four weeks) will have personal hearings with the CHC this evening.
The Meath players will have their hearings early next week.
As it stands, Dublin are without eight first team players for this weekend's division two league final with Westmeath, while those banned for eight weeks will miss the opening Leinster championship game against Louth on June 8th.
Eight-week suspensions rule Meath players out of their championship opener against Carlow on May 18th and a potential second round match against Wexford on June 1st.
