Six Nations:Jerry Flannery's disciplinary hearing will be held at Dublin Airport tomorrow morning after the Munster and Ireland hooker was cited for an alleged kick on France's Alexis Palisson during last Saturday's Six Nations defeat at Stade de France.
The independent Six Nations disciplinary committee will be chaired by Roger Morris (Wales), alongside John Doubleday and Mike Hamlin (England).
Flannery escaped with conceding a penalty at the time but can expect to be ruled out of the forthcoming clash with England if found guilty. A ban is likely to be anything from four to 12 weeks.
Palisson was forced off with a dead leg after the incident and was fortunate not to have suffered a more serious injury. The French wing’s absence was not keenly felt by the home side, who went on to record a resounding 33-10 win in Paris.
Should Flannery be suspended, Ulster’s Rory Best is in line to take the number two jersey after recovering from neck surgery in time for the Six Nations.
