Racing:The three Flat races scheduled to take place at Cork this afternoon have been abandoned as the sprint track is unraceable. Although the course passed an early-morning inspection, further heavy rain means the final three events on the card have been cancelled.
The five National Hunt heats are still due to be run, with the ground on the hurdle and bumper course remaining soft.
Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: “The sprint course was always a problem area and although the rain is due to stop soon, the course cannot recover.”
