Mr Basil Clancy & from Glenageary Co Dublin, who has died, was owner and editor of the magazine Hibernia during the 1960s and Irish editor of the Tablet He was later advertising and supplements editor of The Irish Times. After his retirement, he set up Oghan Crafts, which manufactures jewellry and medallions.

A native of Coalisland, Co Tyrone, Mr Clancy is survived by his wife, Claire, and family Marina, Clarin and Cormac, and Father Donal in Rome. He is also survived by a brother and sister, Joe and Patricia.

The removal takes place to the Church of Our Lady of Victories, Sallynoggin, arriving 5.30 p.m. today funeral, following 10 o'clock Mass, on Monday to Dean's Grange.
