Paris - Former French finance minister and Socialist high-flyer, Mr Dominique Strauss-Kahn, was poised for a dramatic political comeback yesterday after being acquitted in a fraud case that forced his resignation two years ago.
Mr Strauss-Kahn, who stepped down from Mr Lionel Jospin's cabinet because of the "moral obligation" to clear his name, was found not guilty of forging documents to justify payments made to him by a student insurance fund.
