Swansea - A sex-change church minister has been awarded £6,000 after claiming she was victimised on a college beauty course, the college confirmed yesterday. Ms Dian Parry, who used to be known as the Rev Bill Parry, joined the course at Swansea College, south Wales, when she left the ordained ministry to start living life as a woman.
The nonconformist minister and father-of-three changed his name to Ms Parry before enrolling on the beauty therapy course.
But Ms Parry (60) was expelled from the course after complaining she was notsupplied with suitable models to practice on and said she was denied the chance to pass the qualifying exams at Swansea College.
