Four charged with murder of RUC officer outside pub

FOUR men were charged yesterday with the murder of RUC Constable Greg Taylor in Ballymoney, Co Antrim, on Sunday.

FOUR men were charged yesterday with the murder of RUC Constable Greg Taylor in Ballymoney, Co Antrim, on Sunday.

The men, all with addresses in Ballymoney, deny the charge and have been remanded in custody to appear at court in Coleraine, Co Derry, on June 20th.

The accused are: Mr Alastair Samuel John Stevenson (30), a process operator from Vow Road; Mr Mark McIntyre (27), a civil servant from Charlotte Street; Mr Samuel James Coulter (30), a cleaner from Semicock Park, and Mr Leslie Thomas Henry (30), a plasterer from Eastburn Crescent.

In addition to the murder charge, all four are denying a charge of causing an affray.
