A three-year-old girl killed in a road accident on Thursday night in Dublin was named as Yasmin Brady, from North Cumberland Street, off Sean McDermott Street. She was hit by a van at 9.20 p.m. The driver was arrested and later released.

A man in his 40s was killed early yesterday in a road accident at Ballymount Road, Clondalkin. Mr John Hart from Tamarisk Avenue in Kilnamanagh was a passenger in a van which hit a car at 1.15 a.m. He died later in St James's Hospital.

The man killed in a road accident in Co Westmeath yesterday was named as Mr Michael McMahon (20), from Belmont, Co Offaly. He was the driver of a car which hit a ditch at Cola near Kilbeggan at 1.05 a.m. One of two passengers was treated for injuries. Gardai last night had not yet released the name of a 31-yearold Indian national who died after his car crashed near Ballintra, Co Donegal, yesterday. The accident occurred at about 8.30 a.m. on the Ballyshannon-Donegal road.
