Four people have died in separate road crashes over the weekend in counties Longford, Cork and Wexford.
A 39-year-old man died when the car he was driving veered off the road and collided with a tree at Grandardkill in Co. Longford. The crash happened between 3am and 6am this morning. The man was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removd to Mullingar General Hospital.
The road was closed for a forensic collision examination but has since reopened.

A 76-year-old man died when his car left the road and crashed into two parked cars at Rosslare Harbour at 11.15am yesterday morning. He was the sole occupant of the car and no-one else was injured.
He was removed to Wexford Hospital where he was pronounced dead yesterday afternoon.

Separately in Co Wexford, a 69-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving veered off the road and entered a ditch at Coolroe, Ballycullane between 5.30pm yesterday and 9.30am this morning.
His body has been removed to Waterford Regional Hospital. He was the sole occupant of the car. The road was closed briefly for a forensic collision examination.

And in Fermoy, an 83-year-old man was killed when the car in which he was travelling crashed into a wall at Kilcronat, Ballynoe at 4.35pm yesterday evening.
The driver of the car, a woman in her mid-60s, was taked to Cork University Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
The road was closed for a forensic collision examination and has now reopened.
