Four people escaped injury overnight after a petrol bomb attack in Dungannon, Co Tyrone.

The attack at the Farimount Park house was reported at around 3 am; a window was smashed and there was scorch damage inside and out.

It is understood the three men and a woman were from Lithuania.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland revealed in May that although figures for other crimes like burglaries fell, hate crimes against ethnic minorities and gays, lesbians and bisexuals in the province soared by 80 per cent.
