Four companies have announced investments in Dublin that will create 255 jobs over the next three to five years.

Four companies have announced investments in Dublin that will create 255 jobs over the next three to five years.

Insurance company Hartford Financial Service Group will employ some 130 people over the next five years in Swords, Co Dublin.

AutoEurope, a US online company specialising in car rentals, will employ 60 people at a call centre, at Sandyford, Co Dublin.

US cosmetics giant Colgate-Palmolive will recruit 30 people as it upgrades its Dublin facility, which is to become the company's IT centre for the Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Elsewhere, 35 jobs will be created by MarketBoomer, an Australian e-procurement service provider, which is to establish an operations centre in Dublin's digital hub.

The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr Martin, said the job announcements confirm Ireland's strength as a gateway to the European market and highlights its competitive position in financial services and e-business.

"This jobs announcement today represents a continued movement towards high quality jobs as Ireland moves up the value chain", Mr Martin added.
