Gardaí investigating organised crime in the Co Louth area seized heavy machinery and made four arrests yesterday evening.
Gardaí seized a JCB Telescopic Handler and made the arrests in the Ravensdale area of Dundalk.
The four men were detained at Drogheda and Dundalk Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Two of the men in their twenties were released without charge last night and a 22 year old man is expected to appear before a special sitting of Dundalk District court later today charged in connection with the investigation.
A 19-year-old man remains in custody and investigations are continuing.
