Dense fog is believed to have been a contributory factor in the deaths of two of four people killed in four road accidents yesterday. A 74-year-old man was killed last night and another man was seriously injured in a collision involving three cars - one of which was parked - at Kyle Cross on the N11, between Wexford and Enniscorthy. The dead man was from Crossabeg, Co Wexford.

A 21-year-old man was killed in Ballinhassig, Co Cork, when his motorcycle went out of control and struck a road sign at 1 a.m. yesterday during dense fog. He was named as Mr Donnacha Noel Finn of Tullibeg, Ballinhassig.

In Inagh, Co Clare, a 43-yearold man was fatally injured when his car struck a wall. He was on holiday from the US and was originally from Co Clare. A Garda spokesman said that there was bad fog at the time of the accident.

The driver of a jeep who was fatally injured in a collision with a car on the N11, near Ferns, Co Wexford, at about 11 a.m. was named as Mr Christopher Vickery, of Clonroche, Co Wexford. Driving conditions were believed to have been good at the time of the accident.
