Two men charged with the armed robbery of Irish and sterling coins worth over €130,000 from the Pennies From Heaven charity appeal last year have appeared in court.
Mr Paul Kelly, (20), and Mr Derek Jennings, (19), both of Greenfort Gardens, Clondalkin, were charged at Kilmainham District Court with committing burglary with a firearm at Clancy Barracks on December 6th, 2002.
They were also charged with the false imprisonment of two charity workers on the same date.

Mr Jennings was remanded on his own bail to reappear at Kilmainham on December 12th next for mention and on condition that he surrender his passport, reside at his home address and sign on daily at Ronanstown Garda Station.
Two other men, Mr James Collins (20), Harelawn Avenue, Clondalkin, and Mr Philip Orr (24), Rowlagh Avenue, Clondalkin were also charged with handling stolen property, namely the stolen coins. They were remanded in custody with consent to bail.
